Young Researchers’ Laboratory “Young Lab” Engineer

KTU Young Researchers’ Laboratory “Young Lab” invites you to join a team where you can create, improve, and implement prototypes, work with advanced equipment, and actively contribute to the science and study process. Your mission:
- plan, organise, and coordinate prototyping activities in the laboratory, and suggest improvements;
- operate technical and/or software equipment, create prototypes, and analyse experimental data;
- prepare and maintain laboratory documentation: manuals, instructions, methodological materials, and process descriptions;
- initiate and implement projects related to laboratory activities;
- instruct students and other users on how to work in the laboratory, and ensure compliance with safety requirements;
- provide technical and methodological assistance to students, lecturers, and researchers;
- organise and supervise the preparation, operation, and maintenance of laboratory equipment;
- plan and monitor material requirements and their use;
- ensure compliance with safety, health, and fire safety regulations.
What do we expect from you?
- familiarity with laboratory activities and relevant legislation;
- theoretical and practical knowledge in the implementation, operation, and maintenance of technology;
- ability to create and improve prototypes up to technology readiness level (TRL) 6;
- proficiency in design and data analysis software;
- ability to plan and analyse activities, aiming for high-quality results;
- creativity, openness to innovation, and the ability to apply innovative methods;
- strong cooperation, teamwork, and consulting skills;
- fluency in Lithuanian and the ability to communicate clearly and coherently, both verbally and in writing;
- English language skills at a level not lower than B2;
- similar work experience would be an advantage.
