Kaunas University of Technology invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position. The role is suited for candidates with strong expertise in both theoretical and empirical healthcare management research, alongside a keen interest in hospital organizational resilience and the resilience of individual healthcare staff.

This is a part-time position (0.5 FTE) offered on a fixed-term basis for 12 months, commencing February or March 2026. The position carries an annual salary of 23,500 EUR (before taxes).

Requirements for the Candidate

• A PhD in Caring Sciences/Health Sciences (such as Healthcare Management, Wealthcare studies, etc.).

• Applicants must have obtained the PhD in another institution than Kaunas University of Technology and no more than seven years before the start date of the fellowship.

• At least two international-level scientific papers (papers published in a scientific journals that are in the first, second or third quartile (Q1-Q3) of the relevant group of journals in the Web of Science (SSCI) or Elsevier Scopus database).

• Strong knowledge of qualitative research methods and experience working with MAXQDA.

• Experience with quantitative research methods is an advantage.

• Excellent spoken and written English, at least level C1.

• Swedish and/or Lithuanian language skills would be considered an advantage.
  

Main responsibilities

• Conduct cross-country qualitative data analysis of interviews and focus groups, and prepare two scientific publications targeting Q1–Q2 journals.

• Develop a quantitative survey questionnaire informed by the findings of the qualitative analysis.

• Participate in at least two international research conferences. Prepare project reports, deliverables, and milestones.

• Contribute to other tasks related to the project.
