Position Description
The SustAInLivWork Centre of Excellence is seeking a Project specialist performing as Generative AI Education Specialist to join its AI Research and Education HUB. The selected candidate will contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality AI and Generative AI education, development of practice-oriented curricula, and cross-disciplinary training activities. The role requires a strong practical understanding of GenAI tools, excellent communication and teaching skills, and the ability to translate complex AI concepts into accessible, business-relevant knowledge, while supporting training-related proposals and collaboration with interdisciplinary and industry partners.
Location: SustAInLivWork Centre of Excellence (CoE) (Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence at Kaunas University of Technology (KTU)), Kaunas, Lithuania.
The role requires a physical presence at KTU, with some remote working options.
Reports to: Project Expert performing as Head of the Tech-Transfer, Impact and Knowledge Valorisation HUB
Type of Contract: Project-based contract, full-time employment (40 hours/week)
Remuneration package: 16,32 – 23,66 Eur per Hour depending on education level, competencies, and professional experience.
Gross income (in Lithuanian, BRUTO) is the amount of salary or wages paid to an individual by an employer before any deductions are taken.

Main duties and responsibilities
The Project Specialist performing as Generative AI Education Lead will:
Design, develop, and continuously update GenAI-focused curricula, training programs, and learning materials tailored for business, public sector, and professional audiences.
Deliver engaging lectures, workshops, and hands-on training sessions on Generative AI tools, AI assistants, and applied AI use cases for non-technical and semi-technical learners.
Demonstrate and guide the use of GenAI tools in real-world scenarios, including productivity, decision support, content generation, data analysis, and workflow automation.
Support the development of short courses, executive education modules, and professional certification programs in Generative AI.
Contribute to training-related proposals and commercialization of AI education services.
Act as a mentor and knowledge leader, supporting junior trainers and contributing to the growth of the AI education ecosystem.
Ensure high-quality teaching delivery, learner engagement, and continuous improvement based on participant feedback.
Contribute to dissemination activities and outreach related to GenAI adoption and responsible use.
Requirements for the Candidate
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of Generative AI including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, and foundation models.
Practical experience using and demonstrating GenAI tools and platforms (e.g. ChatGPT-like systems, copilots, AI assistants, no-code/low-code AI tools).
Understanding of AI system deployment concepts and practical constraints relevant to business environments.
Familiarity with machine learning and deep learning fundamentals, and the ability to explain concepts clearly to audiences with varying technical backgrounds, is an advantage.
Experience with Python for AI prototyping and demonstrations is an advantage but not mandatory.
Teaching, Communication & Curriculum Development Skills:
Proven experience in teaching, lecturing, training, or facilitating workshops, preferably for adult learners, professionals, or business audiences.
Ability to design structured curricula, learning outcomes, and practical assignments for GenAI-related courses.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and encourage active participation.
Ability to adapt teaching style for executives, managers, technical staff, and non-technical professionals.
Experience delivering hands-on sessions, live demonstrations, and interactive learning formats.
Research, Ethics & Responsible AI:
Understanding of responsible AI, risk management, and limitations of GenAI systems.
Familiarity with EU AI Act principles and responsible deployment of GenAI tools in business and public-sector contexts.
Ability to contribute to training materials, reports, guidelines, and best-practice documentation.
General Requirements:
At least a Master’s degree in information technology, data science, management or a related field is required; a PhD degree is preferred but not mandatory.
High level of engagement, initiative, and motivation to teach and inspire others.
Proficiency in Lithuanian (native); Proficiency in English (C1 – C2).
