Senior Researcher | 1.0 FTE | Department of Silicate Technology
Doctor of Science in the field of Technology Sciences, in the area of Chemical Engineering (T005).
Experience in research activities:
- at least 5 years of experience in the synthesis, structure, and properties of silicon and titanium aerogels and their research, and silicate systems (calcium hydrosilicates, calcium hydroalumosilicates), as well as in the study of phase transitions in other inorganic materials, and the ability to analyse and summarise results;
- at least 10 international-level scientific articles on this topic published in journals indexed in the Web of Science database with an impact factor, at least 5 of which must have been published within the last 5 years;
- experience in implementing research projects, carrying out R&D work, or providing services;
- experience in preparing applications to attract external competitive funding;
- experience in presenting research results at international or national conferences (at least 10).
Language skills: Lithuanian (does not apply to foreign candidates) and English.
Required level of English proficiency: B2.
Knowledge of specific technologies: knowledge of hydrothermal and high-temperature synthesis methods for silicate materials, their analysis (using RSDA, VTA, DSC, FT-IR, SEM, EDX, BET, etc.), and experience in applying sol-gel synthesis to produce materials.
Work experience with specific equipment: experience working with high-pressure autoclaves, microwave reactors, high-temperature furnaces, vacuum dryers, equipment for determining the mechanical properties of samples and products, and optical microscopes.

- at least 10 years of experience in the synthesis, structure, and properties of silicate compounds (calcium hydrosilicates, calcium silicates, calcium hydroalumosilicates), and their applications, and the ability to analyse and synthesise results;
- at least 15 international-level scientific articles on this topic published in journals indexed in the Web of Science database with an impact factor, at least 5 of which must have been published within the last 5 years;
- experience managing R&D work or projects funded by external sources;
- experience in doctoral studies (as a doctoral student’s research supervisor, a consultant, a member of a doctoral committee or council, a teacher, or a dissertation reviewer), or experience supervising the research of the students of the first or second cycle studies, which has resulted in the publication of at least two international-level scientific articles, where at least one of the co-authors is a student or graduate;
- experience in preparing applications to attract external competitive funding;
