Professor | 1.0 FTE | Civil Engineering and Architecture Competence Centre
Doctor of Science in the field of Civil Engineering (T002).
Pedagogical experience:
- at least 5 years of experience teaching in the following educational areas: quality management in construction, fundamentals of construction materials and materials science, residential construction, and architecture;
- experience in applying innovative study methods;
- experience teaching and consulting students at the first, second, or third cycle of studies;
- experience participating in study projects.
Experience in research activities:
- experience in implementing and/or managing research and projects in the areas of innovative and sustainable building materials, production technologies for various types of concrete, cement-based composites, and the use of secondary raw materials and industrial waste in the development of construction products;
- participation in national or international expert working groups.
Languages of teaching: Lithuanian and English.
Required level of English proficiency: C1.
Experience in supervising the students’ final degree projects: final degree projects of the students of the first, second and/or third cycle studies.
Knowledge of specific technologies:
- knowledge and skills in applying 360° image capture data on construction sites;
- experience in analysing data using flotation, gyrator, and early-stage concrete shrinkage deformation instruments;
- ability to apply high-frequency electromagnetic and ultrasonic wave technologies to assess defects in structures.
Work experience with specific equipment:
- knowledge and expertise in creating 3D models using aerial photography;
- knowledge and expertise in using non-destructive testing equipment that operates using electromagnetic and ultrasonic waves.
Additional required experience and competencies: experience in conducting expert activities:
- participation in expert working groups at the national or international level;
- experience in standardisation and consulting for the business and public sectors;
- collaboration with industrial companies and public sector entities in initiating joint research and innovation development activities;
- experience in educational activities.
Type of employment contract: fixed-term employment contract for a 5-year term.

- a description of academic activities for the position according to the science/artistic field: Natural Sciences, Technologies, Medicine and Health Sciences;
- a portfolio of the teacher’s pedagogical activities;
- an activity plan for a period of five years;
- a declaration about the mandatory competencies required for a Leading Researcher;
- a list of the published research and other works compiled by KTU Library or the candidates (if they do not work or study at KTU) and signed by the candidate. The candidates who are not KTU employees are required to submit a free-form list of their published scientific works, including full bibliographic descriptions and DOI (if any);
- additional documents and material proving the candidate's research and pedagogical activities or qualification (at the candidate's discretion).
