Assistant Professor | 1.0 FTE | Department of Mathematical Modelling
Doctor of Science in the fields of Mathematics (N001) or Computer Science (N009).
Pedagogical experience: at least 2 years of teaching experience in specialised mathematics modules in the areas of data analysis and statistical analysis
Experience in research activities: useful experience in conducting research on the application of mathematics in health sciences and publishing research results in articles in indexed scientific journals with an impact factor.
Language of teaching: English.
Required level of English proficiency: C1.
Work experience with specific equipment: experience with Python, MATLAB, R, and SAS programming languages.
Type of employment contract: fixed-term employment contract for a 5-year term.

Experience in supervising the students’ final degree projects: final degree projects of the students of the first and second cycle studies.

- experience in educational activities;
- experience in conducting R&D would be an advantage.

- at least 5 years of experience teaching students at any study cycle;
- experience teaching advanced mathematics and data science modules;
- knowledge of the study organisation process, methodological work, and student-centred teaching/learning principles, as well as the ability to apply them by methodically conveying academic knowledge, developing, implementing, evaluating, and improving teaching/learning activities, assessing student achievement, and giving feedback.
Experience in research activities:
- useful experience in conducting research in the fields of applied mathematics and data science, and in publishing research results in articles in indexed scientific journals with an impact factor;
- experience in writing proposals for research projects and managing research projects and R&D contracts;
- experience in supervising doctoral students or postdoctoral fellows.
Language of teaching: English.
