Chief Researcher | 1.0 FTE | Laboratory of Technology for Human Non-invasive Physiological Measurement and Monitoring
Doctor of Science in Measurement Engineering (T010).
Experience in research activities:
- preparing applications for research projects and grants from international and national funding agencies, and participating in scientific networks;
- in-depth knowledge and practical experience in the management and implementation of research projects, including the planning of research activities, coordination of project tasks, preparation of results, reporting, and monitoring of project outcomes;
- experience in preparing and editing scientific publications, as well as additional experience in reviewing Q1/Q2-level scientific articles;
- giving presentations at scientific conferences;
- processing and analysing large-scale biomedical datasets and interpreting the results to gain clinically and scientifically significant insights;
- conducting research and experimental development (R&D) activities in the field of medical technology, including the development, validation, and application of innovative healthcare technologies.
Experience in supervising the students’ final degree projects: final degree projects of the students of the second cycle studies and consulting the students of the third cycle studies.
Language skills: Lithuanian (does not apply to foreign candidates) and English.
Knowledge of specific technologies: experience conducting experimental research in a laboratory setting and clinical studies in intensive care, ophthalmology, and cardiac surgery departments, using systems for monitoring cerebral blood flow autoregulation and performing multimodal physiological data recording.
Work experience with specific equipment:
- experience in biomedical signal processing and data analysis using MATLAB, SPSS, MedCalc, and other related analytical tools;
- practical experience working with non-invasive brain monitoring technologies and devices, including the Archimedes02 non-invasive intracranial wave monitoring system and functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) systems;
- knowledge of advanced transcranial Doppler sonography (TCD) and medical ultrasound systems.
Additional required experience and competencies: interdisciplinary competencies that include the integration of engineering, neuroscience, neurobiology, and IT-based data analysis methods.
Type of employment contract: fixed-term employment contract for a 5-year term.

- a list of the published research and other works compiled by KTU Library or the candidates (if they do not work or study at KTU) and signed by the candidate. The candidates who are not KTU employees are required to submit a free-form list of their published scientific works, including full bibliographic descriptions and DOI (if any);
- additional documents and material proving the candidate's research and pedagogical activities or qualification (at the candidate's discretion).
